The Shrine of SS Trinità
The mysterious shrine at an altitude of 1300 meters
The Shrine of the Holy Trinity is one of the most visited from religious pilgrims from the area and beyond.
Situated at an altitude of 1333 meters, it owes its origin to some mysterious events; one of these is the miracle of a farmer seeing his oxen plummet over the side, while plowing the mountain, and then found alive, on the cliffs that dominates today’s sanctuary, grazing before a representation of the Holy Trinity found painted in a cave.
The place of prayer is more than a kilometer walk from the square where we will arrive by bike. The climb from the village of Vallepietra has peaks over 10%, but along the way we will come across several fountains for proper rehydration.
